We manufacture a wide range of tents for a wide range of purposes. Our weatherproof outdoor living products are ideal for camping with family or friends, as temporary accommodation for contract workers on remote projects, and for providing cover for guests at outdoor events. All of our tents are manufactured using tough, quality components and materials, and are weatherproof, and UV, rot & mildew resistant.
Bow tents are a popular style of camping tent characterised by a unique design and their environment versatility. These tents are a curved, semi-circular shape, forming a sturdy and stable weatherproof shelter. Features include mesh screened doors and windows with outside canvas closure panels, stainless steel frame hooks and pegs, electric cable traps, and skullcap/veranda flysheet options.
If you don't want to camp rough, try glamping. Glamping is a portmanteau of "glamorous" and "camping", and describes a style of camping with amenities and, in some cases, resort-style services not usually associated with "traditional" camping. We offer several levels of luxury tents, from the Sanyati™, a 3 module tent with attached bathroom and large veranda area, to the Mopane™, a 4 person Bow tent with a veranda fly.
Manufactured from 400 gsm Rip Block™ canvas, Shades Ahead offer 2 sizes of marquee tent – 5m x 5m, and 5m x 10m (ground measurements). There are no windows, as the walls can be hung in either half or full cover position, creating air flow as needed. The marquee’s main entrance(s) can be situated on any corners for optimal traffic, and a vented roof prevents a build up of hot stuffy air. Poles, guy ropes and detailed instructions are included. These tents are not supplied with groundsheets.
These tents are modular in design, allowing sections to be fitted together depending on space required. Due to this versatility these tents are very popular with safari bush camps and other tented accommodation. Manufactured from 400 gsm Rip Block™ canvas, each module measures 1.75m x 3.5m (ground measurements). There are 2 opposing side windows, fitted with insect gauze and weather flap, and the doorway is typically the entire width of the tent. Our module tents are fitted with a vented roof and flysheet for optimal air circulation, and a groundsheet is built into the construction.
